WHO hopes to deliver vaccines to poor countries.

World Health Organizations is in talks with Pfizer, to have access to the vaccine to give to poor countries who cannot afford to purchase the vaccine.

Bruce Aylward, WHO senior advisor stated “We are in detailed discussions with Pfizer, we believe soon we will have access to that product”

Using their global collaboration Covid-19 Vaccines Global Access Facility (COVAX) WHO intends to start the distribution to poor and middle-income countries as soon as February with 2 of 3 billion doses of vaccine expected to be delivered this year. WHO has stated that the storage of the vaccine might be a problem for some developing countries, as it should be stored at minus 70 degrees Celsius.

WHO officials blame the unfair distribution of the vaccine on nationalism and “catastrophic moral failure and has urged countries to spread doses fairly.
